Current Resilience PAC Committees
EDUCATION & POLICY
Meets: Bi-weekly
The education and policy committee develops and delivers candidate and public education events and materials. In February 2021, over 100 candidates participated in the first round of “Resilience PAC Candidate Classes.”
COMMUNICATIONS & ENDORSEMENTS
Meets: Bi-weekly
The communications and endorsements committee manages the process of tracking, engaging with, evaluating, and recommending candidate endorsements to the full Resilience PAC membership. Over 160 candidates sought endorsement for the June 2021 elections. The committee designs and executes the communications strategy by developing and disseminating content to traditional media, purchased media, and on social media platforms. The committee helps to translate the PAC’s mission, values, platform, accomplishments and needs into messaging targeted at candidates and the general public.
STRATEGY
Meets: Monthly
The strategy committee maps out the long term goals of the organization, including policy platform development and updating, and engaging with the PAC’s advisors. New committees are often incubated in the strategy committee, and are then set off on their own.
FUNDRAISING
Meets: As-needed
The fundraising committee helps to design and implement fundraising initiatives and campaigns for Resilience PAC members and donors. Though fundraising is a component of membership, this committee seeks individuals capable of giving beyond normal membership levels.
MEMBERSHIP
Meets: As-needed
The membership committee integrates new members into the PAC through orientations and facilitates connections to other committees. The committee ensures that information about members is accurate and up to date so that all members can be invited to meetings and are kept informed of the PAC’s activities.
GOVERNANCE
Meets: Monthly
The governance committee works to develop the PAC’s governance structure and operations according to applicable laws.
OPERATIONS
Meets: As-needed
Operations manages internal PAC coordination through the establishment and continuation of procedures on, and access to, various software platforms and ensuring the website is current.
TREASURER
Lizzie Hodges
The Treasurer manages compliance with city, state, and federal regulatory bodies, completes periodic disclosure filings with New York State Board of Elections and tax filings, and provides regular financial reporting to the PAC at monthly general membership meetings.

Why should I become a member?
Because now is the time when your time, skills, donation and knowledge can help change the future of our city. We are a member-run, volunteer organization and rely on our members to shape and carry out our mission.
How do members participate in Resilience PAC?
Members are encouraged to attend monthly general meetings to keep up-to-date on news to find ways to get involved. All members are eligible to serve on committees that shape the organization and to stand for election to the board. Members vote in our internal elections for Board members and for candidate endorsements. Each member has one vote . Please attend one of our regularly scheduled orientation meetings for more details.
Where does the money from membership go?
Membership supports administrative/operating costs for the website and software subscriptions. We also make contributions to the candidates we endorse. Our treasurer reports on financing.
